Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice is provided at the Upper Iowa University and its main purpose of the criminal justice major is to prepare the learner to understand the application of research-based theory, legal guidelines, and ethical principles to the practical functioning of the criminal justice system.

This program is of 42 semester credits and also one must complete the general education core along with additional elective credits to complete the 120 semester credits required for the bachelor of science degree, at least 15 credits in this major must be earned in courses numbered 300 or above from a four-year institution.

The University Upper Iowa University is founded in 1857 and is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association and is approved by the Louisiana Higher Education Board, the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board, and the Iowa Department of Education for teacher education in Iowa only.
