M.A.E.D./Teacher Education

This course develop the teachers who are part of the school community, facilitate the development of students who are secure and productive citizens in a changing society. This is a Master's Degree program that leads to elementary and secondary teacher licensure. The candidates of this course are already having a bachelor's degree and wish to gain the pedagogical skills and knowledge that will assist them in becoming competent and effective educators, in addition to earning a degree.

The philosophy of this program is to provide the adult students who are having a degree in a discipline other than education, with individualized opportunities to become an educator. This program focuses on P-12 student learning by improving the educator's responsibility for that learning. This program has been designed for connecting teacher learning directly to P-12 curriculum standards.
