M.A.E.D./Teacher Education

This course develop the teachers who are an integral part of the school community, facilitate the development of students who are secure and productive citizens in a changing society.

This is a master's degree program that leads to elementary and secondary teacher licensure. The candidates of this program are already having a bachelor's degree and wish to gain the pedagogical skills and knowledge that will assist them in becoming competent and effective educators.

The philosophy of this program is to provide the adult students who are having a degree in a discipline other than education, with individualized opportunities to become an educator. This program focuses on P-12 student learning by improving the educator's responsibility for that learning. The teacher preparation program has been designed to connect teacher learning directly to P-12 curriculum standards.
