Bachelor of Science in Business/Information Systems

The philosophy of the Bachelor of Science in Business or Information Systems program is to enable business professionals to develop and refine business, leadership, and managerial skills with an understanding of the principles of information technology. The Bachelor of Science in Business or Information Systems program graduates effective professionals who exhibit the following behaviors and competencies:

1. Who work successfully within a business environment to apply the tools of information technology in a variety of technical environments.
2. Who provides the ability to support the application and implementation of information technology to meet a business' mission, goals, or objectives.
3. Who provides effective direction for supporting and managing the information technology physical and human resources, through the application of sound management principles.

This course provides knowledge of business and information technology principles and applications to support both business and information systems professionals. It provides opportunities to apply information technology tools to solve business problems and increase overall effectiveness of the enterprise, by exposing students to a broad continuum of theory and practice-based skills and knowledge in both business and technology.
