National University was founded in 1971. It consists of five schools and one college, including the Schools of Business and Management, Education, Engineering and Technology, Health and Human Services, and Media and Communications, and the College of Letters and Sciences. National's online programs are interactive, with email links between student, their professor and their virtual classmates. Each program includes weekly online discussion sessions with classmates who participate in your virtual classroom.

Master of Crosscultural Teaching program is deigned to meet the requirements for a master's degree that interrelates theory and practice and promotes lifelong learning. Master of Crosscultural Teaching, which has an internship option, is intended for students who want to obtain a preliminary credential and master's degree at the same time. Before enrolling in student teaching and bilingual the student must pass the subject matter competency exam.
