The MS in Health Care Administration/MBA Dual Degree is to combine the specialized and focused knowledge of health care administration in the MS with the business expertise of the MBA. Who first wants to go for MBA may earn an MS in health care administration by taking an additional 15 credits from the MS in health care administration curriculum as specified below. MBA students cannot take coursework toward the MS until they complete the MBA degree.

MS in health care administration courses must be taken in the following sequence :

  • HCAD 620 The U.S. Health Care System
  • HCAD 650 Legal Aspects of Health Care Administration
  • HCAD 600 Introduction to Health Care Administration

Students would then take ONE course from among the HCAD courses listed below :

  • HCAD 670 Long Term Care Administration
  • HCAD 680 Special Topics in Health Care Administration.
  • HCAD 690 Capstone Course for Health Care Administration
  • HCAD 610 Information Technology for Health Care Administration
  • HCAD 660 Health Care Institutional Organization and Management
  • HCAD 630 Public Health Administration
  • HCAD 640 Financial Management for Health Care Organizations
